It's hard to believe just a month ago we were in Florida. The media event was beautiful and exciting even though many people already knew the 'big announcement'. It was great to have the actors who play Fred and George Weasley from the films make a special appearance and to join us for a butterbeer toast! Unfortunately, we weren't given any further information about the location, time frame, etc. Anything is up in the air at this point. I would imagine that Gibson/Waterworld/Shrek would be the perfect footprint.

Registered Member Posts: 42 (12/20/11 15:41:08) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'm hearing some interesting rumors (Not really substantial as they are not based on any article) that Shrek and Curious George will be eliminated for Potter. Though this is very interesting and I wouldn't mind seeing both of those go for Potter, there are two problems with this: 1) The extended queue is used for an HHN haunted house. I don't forsee this as a major issue as they can just have the Terror Tram load up at the Jurassic Park queue where Alice Cooper was and put the two make-up locations where the tram garage is--just like they did in the later 90's. Problem solved. 2) Now that a thirty minute show will probably be eliminated, wont this mean that people will spend less time in the park? It would be nice to try to maximize the capacity in the park.

It would be nice to try to maximize the capacity in the park. I don't see the shows going away, although I could totally be wrong. They fill a certain demographic need and are people eaters. Plus, if you did extend Potter out that far, your theme park traffic would intersect Hogsmeade, which doesn't exactly deliver the best experience (i.e. rather than walking up to the gate and seeing into the Wizarding World). This is the same reason I don't think we'll see the Special Effects show vanishing, either (beside the fact that Universal just opened a new show there), or the Animal Actors venue. Every theme park needs shows for folks who want to sit and/or don't do rides.
