Backdraft and the Sound Stages have not been closed. They were both open and running (we did both on Saturday).

Were they closed for a time? Our tour guide for HHN told me they wouldn't close until the end of the year at the earliest.

The Transformers ride sounds awesome, but the ride will probalby be a minute or two long. I don't see this as a good thing. From what I have seen of them in the past Blackstone buys large companies then sells them off in pieces to make a profit. I wouldn't be surprised if you see budget cuts and higher prices in the parks.
